Parupalli Kashyap, Badminton Player: I’ve done a keto diet very strictly during my rehab phase post knee surgery. I couldn’t do any activity other than general static strength exercises which weren’t energy consuming. I didn’t want to put on weight and was also getting lazy, so keto really helped me to be active mentally and just be positive every day. A Keto diet is good for these situations, but once I started playing again, I couldn’t sustain it as badminton is a high intensity sport and fat as an energy source is not enough. So I slowly re-introduced carbs into my diet.
