After a hard day’s toil indulging in scrumptious food is heavenly bliss. Last evening we had a taste of the exotic Dim Sum Fest at Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre. It sure was a culinary delight to dig into the innovative dim sums, specially curated by Chef Suraj Raj Adhikari.
My favourites were the steamed version of the Garlic Bread, Chicken Sui Mai, Cheese and Raw Banana dim sum and the juicy Lamb dumpling. Some other interesting ones that we tried were the Eggplant and Water Chestnut dim sum, Prawns Har Gau, Chicken Bao and the Phoenix Eye Dim Sum.
A range of house-made sauces that accompanied the dim sums were Chilli Soya, Black bean and Chilli, Vinegar and chives and Sweet Chili Thai Sauce; rendering further taste to the dim sums.
Executive Chef Muthu Kumar says, “Dim Sums are a very healthy and tasty snack that has managed to capture the imagination among food enthusiasts around the world. Globally, this has become common place for restaurants to serve dim sum at dinner time. Various dim sum items are even sold as take-out for students and office workers on the go. We are conducting this fest to familiarise our guests with the myriad of options that this famed snack appears in.”
