Dr. Prasanna Gettu,  the managing trustee of the PCVC said that they are seeking to work in partnership with the police and medical facilities to give relief to victims of domestic violence. She said that a network has to be built for all affected parties as many women face some sort of violence either mental or physical.

She wanted one stop centres to be established by the Ministry of Women and Child Development. At the Chennai centre, there is a health and wellness centre in addition to a counselling centre. The aim is to create a network of doctors as hospitals don’t get involved in police cases. As of now there is an emergency number 044 43111143/ 1800 102 7282 which one can call during an emergency.
