Chennai based textile connoisseur and handloom revivalist, Designer Parvathi Dasari, made her debut at the Lakme Fashion Week on 1st February at 4 pm as she unveiled her new collection, “The Tropical Paradise”. Actress & Director Divya Khosla Kumar looked resplendent in a beautiful Pink Kanjivaram Sari as she walked the ramp for Designer Parvathi Dasari at the Lakme Fashion Week.

“It’s my privilege to walk for Designer Parvathi Dasari who is so passionate for heirloom textiles. Each design of her is a piece of art. The saree that I am wearing today is also very lightweight, unlike other heavy Kanjeevaram sarees. I am happy to support her initiative of supporting weavers and reviving our Indian tradition,” shared Actress Divya Khosla Kumar.

“I am extremely happy to debut at Lakme Fashion Week. It’s an honour to work with Divya and have her as our showstopper. She immediately agreed when she got to know our extensive work with weavers and how these designs help in supporting their families. Further, my new collection is a small initiative from my side to save nature and conserve the environment,” shared Designer Parvathi Dasari.

There is a purported play of opposites, where the design doyen, Parvathi Dasari has combined bright jewel hues including reds, pinks, blues, green and softer shades. The fresh rendition of the glorious handloom, new collection “The Tropical Paradise” showcases soft and sophisticated looks that do not over empower the wearer!!
