Dhanyasri on road to recovery

After intensive treatment and surgery after a man landed right on top of her, baby Dhanyasri is on the road to recovery. The 4 year old girl answered a few questions and thanked everyone at the Apollo Children’s Hospital. Doctors strove to ensure that her blood pressure and oxygen levels were maintained.

Surgery involved removing the top of her skull to give the brain space and decrease the pressure. The skull bone is stored in deep freeze at the blood bank and will be replaced in another surgery after 2 or 3 months. Her father who is a water can supplier said that the family was very worried but was touched with the help and support that has been pouring in even from other countries. The State Health Minister C.Vijaya Baskar said that her treatment would be covered under the Chief Minister’s Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme.
