Delhi hit by earthquake

Delhi and Noida as well as the surrounding areas were hit by an earthquake of a magnitude of 3.0. The National Center for Seismology said that an earthquake measuring 3.0 magnitude on the Richter scale struck 17 kms east of Faridabad at 10.42 pm on the 3 June.
There were no casualties reported nor was there any major damage done. There was another earthquake on the 29th of May which measured 4.6 magnitude on the Richter scale. In fact there were about 6 earthquakes in the past month. However a Professor of Geology at the Jawaharlal Nehru University said that there was nothing to worry about as this takes place every year but cautioned people to remain alert.
