As her boyfriend Ranvir Singh took the Best Actor trophy at IIFA 2016, Deepika Padukone won the award for Best Actress for her performance as Piku in the quirky comedy-drama by Shoojit Sarcar that depicted the relation between an ageing father and his daughter.
The film also won awards for Best Story and Best Dialogue (for Juhi Chaturvedi).
