Clove celebrates Srilankan Design

Multi-brand Mumbai based boutique Clove will celebrate Sri Lankan fashion with a pop-up that will launch on June 14 and will shine the spotlight on eight up-and-coming designers from the country. The pop-up event, titled “Heart of Sri Lanka”, aims to capture the spirit of contemporary Sri Lankan fashion. KÛR by Kasuni Rathnasuriya will showcase its garments made from Sri Lankan Beeralu Lace that mix femininity with androgyny and Sonali Dharmawardena will showcase clothing featuring Batik prints.


Jewelry will be provided by Papillon du thé by Saskia Fernando, a brand that works with craftspeople from across the Sri Lankan island. Anuk by Samaadhi Weerasinghe will showcase its latest capsule collection including its “No Waste” slip dress made in 100 percent silk and La Pard by Dinushi Pamanuwa will showcase resort-wear and lingerie.


Fernando’s own brand Maus will provide “classic everyday staples with a twist” according to the brand’s press release. Lois London by Radhika Perera-Hernandez and Cher by Chevonne will also bring their clothing lines to the event.
