China introduces strict gaming rules

The Chinese government has imposed a curfew to limit the time spent by children who play games online. According to the new regulations, children under the age of 18 cannot play games online between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m. They will be allowed to play only for 90 minutes during the day time.
There are also rules regarding the amount of money a minor can spend to play games online. They are allowed to spend a sum of 200 RMB which is about Rs 2000 a month and it can go up to 400 RMB for those between 16 and 18 years of age. It has become mandatory for all gamers to use their real names while registering and also furnish details of a WeChat account, phone number or ID number to sign up. All this is part of the government crackdown on youth gaming addiction. These set of  rules was the most discussed newsitem on social media with a whopping 210 million views.
