Veteran actor Mohanlal is all set to make his directorial debut with Barroz and there is an interesting update that the actor-turned-director has roped in child prodigy Lydian Nadhaswaram to compose music for this film. Lydian, a student of AR Rahman’s music academy, shot to limelight for winning the CBS talent show ‘The World’s Best’ which won him the million dollar prize money.

In the program, he played the classical ‘The Flight of the Bumblebee’ in a faster variation, which stunned the judges and the audiences. The boy, who has also appeared in Ellen DeGeneres’ television show, was hailed by AR Rahman as a solo virtuoso. Reports state that he was chosen to compose the tunes as Barroz is a children’s film and he would be able to strike the right chord with the audiences with his music.

The shooting of this film is expected to commence in October this year and will be shot in different locations including Goa, Portugal, etc. The film will be dubbed in different languages to have a pan Indian reach. Antony Perumbavoor of Aashirvad Cinemas is bankrolling this big budget movie
