Sublime Galleria at UB City is presenting celebrated artist Dilip Choudhury’s artworks. Titled ‘The Tale of Two Cities’, the exhibition captures the charm and character of two old cities – Kolkata and Benaras, which are constantly reinventing themselves without losing out on their original essence of character.

The exhibition, which starts with a Grand Opening Night on Saturday – 12 November 2016, will continue till 03 December 2016.

The Opening Night will kick off with a presentation by The Institute of Indian Interior Design (IIID). One of the country’s premier design bodies, IIID has begun a yearlong trip across India, where designers drive Tata Nanos across India to spread awareness of design through college interactions and social projects. As part of its commitment to give students a hands-on design experience as well as give underprivileged children a home, IIID conducted a contest among design students across different colleges. The students have been presented with a challenge – to plan the interiors for an orphanage while keeping in mind the constraints of space.

Commenting on the event, Uzma Irfan – Director, Prestige Group & Founder, Sublime Galleria said, “It gives me great pleasure to be associated with IIID, a group that has undertaken immense social responsibility while educating the masses about the importance of design. They will be present on the Opening Night to showcase their solidarity to Dilip Chowdhury’s latest collection of works. His work infuses life into an architectural depiction, adding grandeur and movement. Since design is as deeply rooted in beauty as it is in practicality, their presence will complement his works perfectly.”
