A mentally disturbed teenager tried to kill Queen Elizabeth ll during her visit to New Zealand way back in 1981 and the police covered up the botched attempt according to official documents. Christopher Lewis fired a single shot towards the Queen’s car as she toured Dunedin. No one was hurt and the police covered up the botched attempt saying that it was a firework exploding.
The accused Lewis was picked up and a .22 rifle was recovered from him. He confessed about the attempt made on the Queen’s life and said that he was a member of the right wing organization called the Imperial Guerilla Army that had only 3 members.
