BIBA to expand retail presence in India

Womenswear brand Biba Apparel looks to expand retail presence in India with an addition of over 100 stores with a focus on tier II and tier III cities. The company is looking to make deeper inroads into a premium segment and 60 out of the 100 stores planned will be it for premium wear brand ‘Rangriti’.

Biba is also exploring to take the franchise route for expansion and aims to open 500 stores in India in the next two years. Biba has an approximate of 275 stores in India and has a turnover of 500 crores. Biba also sells through its own portal and online e-commerce websites like Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Jabong, Shoppers Stop, and others which contribute 15 per cent to the company’s overall sales.
