It’s the evergreen hangout for a die-hard Bangalorean.

It’s located on one of Basavanagudi’s narrow street, but there’s no way you can miss this place. Forget the board, the queue outside is a dead give away! Traditional South Indian coffee, the aroma of which assaults you from a mile away. Fluffy idles, steaming hot vadas, the best upma and kesari bath in town. That’s all thats on the menu… and there’s also butter for which they charge Rs 7. Just in case you want to smother the piping hot idli in some grease!

One of the oldest eateries in the city, located in the Brahmin dominated suburb of Malleshwaram, Veena Stores attracts foodies from all over the city. Mumbaikars who are visiting never leave without taking back a box of his special idles and even more special chutney. It’s a little shop adjacent to 15th Cross in Malleshwaram, and you can’t fail to see the throng of people outside tucking into his specialities. bisibele bath, semiya upma, chow chow bath, idli and vada, sweet pongal and coffee are the hot favourites here.
