A bereaved family of a software engineer hailing from Madhya Pradesh are struggling to get the body of their daughter who died in Thailand in an accident. The deceased girl , Pragya Palliwal, 24 years of age, was working with a Bengaluru based software company. She visited Phuket to attend a seminar organised by a local software company. While travelling in a car in Phuket, she met with an accident. Her family was informed about the accident by the local authorities.
However none of her family members have the required documents to travel to Thailand to receive the body, They have therefore requested the local MLA to ask External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar to intervene in the matter and provide a passport to enable the family members to travel to Thailand and bring the body of their daughter. He has accordingly ordered the Indian embassy in Thailand to do the needful.
