The Commission of Inquiry probing into the death of former Chief Minister Jayalalitha is not planning to seek another extension. Sources said that Justice Arumughaswamy had begun the groundwork for drafting his report. The Commission began it’s operations from October 27th 2017 and sought two extensions in December and then in June. The Commission has plans to examine a few more persons.

It is also attempting to use the video conferencing facilities at the National Green Tribunal to examine UK based intensivist Dr Richard Beale. However there is so much more work to be completed and another source associated with the Commission expressed doubts as to how the probe would be completed in just over a month. The main persons it seeks to examine are Sasikala, O.Paneerselvam and Thambi Durai.
