Well known photographer Amita Talwar will be holding an exhibition of her works titled Sacred Symbols from the 11th of Jan onwards at Truffles Bar and Cafe. The exhibition is a collection of photographs that tell the story of her journey through Benares, Mahabalipuram, Uttranchal, Nepal and Dharamsala.

The beauty of Goddess Durga, the ferociousness of Kali,the boats on the ghats in Benares or Nandi- the Bull, the vehicle of lord Shiva have all been captured by her camera to tell a story of India’s sacred symbols.

This exhibition is the first to be held under her new initiative Art for Causes – where in art and photography come together for charity. Fifty percent of the proceeds from this exhibition will support charitable Trusts listed in Art for Causes and buyers of the photographs can choose which charity they would like to support.

The exhibition will be on for a month.
