Veteran Actor, Director Visu Passes Away

Actor, writer, and director Meenakshisundaram Ramasamy Viswanathan, popularly known as Visu, passed away in Chennai on Sunday. He was 75. The actor had reportedly been suffering from age-related health issues. Acting directing, writing, stage performance, television shows especially debate shows, films are just a few of the many things he has excelled in. Visu initially worked as an assistant director to director K Balachander and wrote scripts and dialogues for his films. He then turned into an actor in the film Kudumbam Oru Kadambam and as a director in Kanmani Poonga.

In a shocking turn of events, the actor has passed away due to his deteriorating health conditions and has been battling kidney failure for quite some time now. He had been under-going dialysis for the same. The actor started from a stage performer and then turned out to be the cinema’s favorite all-rounder. Tamil Cinema’s mourns the actor’s demise.
