Aamir Khan picks his Actors for Andaz Apna Apna 2

Aamir Khan has given his thumbs up to reports of Varun Dhawan and Ranveer Singh coming together for a new film based on his classic comedy ‘Andaz Apna Apna.’ The actor stated the duo should definitely do the movie as audiences loved the original and that he’s keen to see what the younger actors can bring to his character Amar and Salman Khan’s Prem.  When Aamir was asked about it in a recent interview, he shared that he wasn’t sure if the reports of Varun and Ranveer working on the movie were true, but said that they should ‘definitely’ do the film.

The actor added that the movie has been loved tremendously in the past, so he feels that audiences would want to see it again. A few weeks ago, Ranveer had expressed during a Twitter chat that he was looking for a ‘crackling’ out-and-out comedy and added ‘Andaz Apna Apna 2’ with a question mark. Moreover, when the ‘Simmba’ star was asked if he’d like to collaborate with Ranbir Kapoor for the movie, Ranveer had agreed as he felt the ‘Jagga Jasoos’ star was one of his favourite stars. Recently, reports of the makers, Vinay Sinha and Priti Sinha planning a new film on the Rajkumar Santoshi directorial had surfaced. It was reported that the Ranveer and Varun were the first-choices for the roles and were approached for it.

Aamir – Salman’s film was not an immediate hit after its release but acquired a cult status along last few years. It remains to be an absolute favourite of the 90s kids and it would be interesting to see if Ranveer and Varun are actually able to fill the shoes of Aamir and Salman! On a professional level, Aamir’s last move Thugs Of Hindostan was a flop at the box office and he took full responsibility for it at a press meet. He was supposed to do Saare Jahan Se Accha next but he pulled out of the project to work on his ambitious next, Mahabharat. Details about this magnum opus are yet to come. Ranveer and Varun, on the other hand, are busy with their movies: ’83 and Street Dancer. There are not any official talks about the Andaz Apna Apna remake yet
