Ssaffron, the Indian specialty restaurant at Shangri-La Hotel, Bengaluru is one of the city’s most sought after gastronomical destinations. The restaurant which treats guests to royalty cuisine from regions of India with emphasis on Punjab, Hyderabad, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and home style, welcomed New Year with the launch of its new menu. Executive Chef, Anurudh Khanna along with his indigenous culinary brigade has added a creative touch to the menu to bring a refreshing change to Bengaluru’s dining scene.

City luminaries savored delicacies off the new menu that were perfectly paired with wine and enjoyed stunning views of the city skyline at the launch.

Ssaffron will continue to showcase the rich culinary delights from different parts of India that define the national cuisine. From tender grilled meats, succulent kebabs, curries prepared in a rich marinade of spices, assortment of Indian breads, aromatic rice to hand crafted sweets and traditional desserts, the menu will celebrate the time honoured culinary legacy that has dominated the royal kitchens of India.

Elevating heritage Indian dishes, guests will enjoy mouth-watering delights like Silbatta ke Tikkey, Murgh Hazari, Meen Kozhambu, Haleem Tarkari, Karuveppilai Poondu Kozhambu and Zaraja Parantha Traditional and contemporary sweet temptations like Chakar Ada Pradaman, Rangoli Kulfi and Khubani ka Meetha to culminate the meal will turn the dining experience into a lasting memory that guests will savour long after they have left.

 “We are very passionate about continuously delighting the epicureans with our distinctive creations. Our chefs are experts at combining age-old recipes with advanced cooking techniques.” said Andreas Streiber general manager.

Ssaffron is located on 18th floor of the hotel with a seating capacity of 154 covers, both indoors and alfresco. The restaurant is open for lunch between 12 noon and 3:00 pm and dinner between 7:00 and 11:30 pm, on all seven days of the week.
