This festive season, Le Meridien Kochi has recycled waste for its festive decor

“Celebrating Christmas with care towards the environment is a great way to give back to the community,” that’s the motto Le Meridien Kochi is going by this Christmas. “A million plastic bottles are bought around the world every minute and the number will jump another 20% by 2021, creating an environmental crisis some campaigners predict will be as serious as climate change” as published by The Guardian.  This year, Le Meridien Kochi has recycled waste from the hotel to spread awareness and created a unique “Eco-Christmas Tree”.

The Hotel Engineering and Housekeeping team have built this Christmas tree using over 3000 used water bottles and used pipes. This magnificent tree stands at a towering 25 feet to serve as a reminder to all the associates and guests entering the Hotel about their collective responsibility towards the environment. “At Le Meridien Kochi, in our own small way to reduce the use of plastic bottled water, we encourage one and all to visit the hotel and grab this opportunity to witness our Christmas marvel”, invites the team. Remember to reduce, reuse and recycle. Have a Merry Christmas and a magical holiday season!
