Exactly 15 years ago, a wicketkeeper from Jharkhand had debuted for India in ODIs. Little did we know that the wicketkeeper-batman will become a legend, known as Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The two World Cup-winning former India captain MS Dhoni has touched a number of milestones in these 15 years in International cricket. Though he is out of action these days, MS Dhoni is still being hailed as the best leader Indian cricket team ever had.

The Captain Cool from Ranchi, who made his debut under Sourav Ganguly’s captaincy in 2004 made it to be the most impactful cricketer and captain himself. His career is studded with several milestones and the 2007 World T20 triumph was only the start and was an incredible journey of 15 years under the leadership of Dhoni. In his guidance, the Indian team also went on to win the 2011 ICC World Cup as well as the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy, making him the first captain to complete the treble.

He also led his IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings to three Champion titles and five Runner up titles. Dhoni is fondly called as captain cool and his fans go gaga for his spectacular helicopter shots. The true satisfaction of every Indian Cricket fan is to witness the match end by Dhoni’s sixer, as he is the best finisher of all time.
